Sandy & Mike tie the Knot, May 3, 2008

Mike and Sandy traveled into town to tie the knot Saturday at Trinity University's Parker Chapel. The beautiful and elegant ceremony was followed by the reception at The Pioneer Museum off Broadway.

In fact, they had just arrived in town earlier in the week so we had Thursday evening to capture a few pics of them downtown San Antonio.

Mike and Sandy are now on honeymoon in Mexico, no doubt relaxing and sipping margaritas on the beach.

Shay and Dustin are one of the loveliest couples I've had the pleasure of working with. These two sweethearts tied the know last Saturday at The First Baptist Church of Boerne, and then had their reception at the Fair Oaks Ranch Country Club. I've never seen such a beautiful setup as this reception and it was filled with many close friends and family. Just a splendid occasion.

I met Leticia and Jake in Austin on Monday and we strolled around the Capitol and then found this totally cool coffee shop. Here's a few from that evening.

I'm very excited and humbled as today I was accepted into this wonderful organization. Read on about OpLove and please contact me for any military families getting ready for deployment or coming home.

Operation:
LoveReunited is an organization of professional photographers who have joined together to support military families. I'm humbled and honored to be a member.

As a volunteer photographer for OpLove, I am happy to offer family photo sessions for military families at deployment, during deployment, and at homecoming. Once stationed, the deployed soldier will be sent an album of the session and the family will receive a print package. Both will receive a dvd slideshow of the session. And of course, there is no charge.

Please feel free to contact me to schedule a session if you are a military family with a member about to be deployed, already deployed, or anticipating a homecoming soon.

Kristen & Kyle Marry ~ Click the play button to see

Kristen and Kyle are true sweethearts and they just tied the knot last Saturday. They're were both A&M students and the whole gang was also there along with family to celebrate their day at The Dominion Country Club, San Antonio.

The very next morning found them enjoying their honeymoon on a jet plane to Scotland, UK.

Now, I'm trying something a little bit different starting this week. We've selected a few of my favorites from their day and created a little sideshow for them, similar to what we do for our clients' albums. I think it's so much more emotional than just posting a few pictures as I have done in the past. Let us know what you think. Should we extend it with more pictures, or is this just the right amount? Give us your feedback.

Amber's Bridal Shoot

Amber arrived from Houston late last night. For the bridal session she was up very early this morning for her hair and makeup before meeting at the San Jose Missions.

All that said and done, she looks incredibly beautiful and we managed to capture some absolutely gorgeous shots.

Sierra & John's Engagement Session

What can you say when you have a lovely couple like Sierra and John together for an engagement session. Oh, and you have travel up I-35 to Austin to shoot. Hmm, tough call that one. Of course, I love Austin and it's always fun.

Their session was captured Monday in and around the Capital. The squirrel had no comment.

Sinath & Patrick Tie The Knot At Mom's

The lovely Sinath and Patrick tied the knot last Saturday. We thought it was going to rain, but thank fully it held off and even the sun came out during the ceremony. Can't beat that!

I haven't photographed a garden wedding for some time. They're always intimate and you end up meeting some lovely folks. The star of the day was this little 2 year old boy who couldn't resist skinny dipping in the pool-in front of everyone. Very funny.

Lily's Ten Months Old Today!

We cannot believe it, but Lily, our daughter is ten months old today. So, I have to get these images online for everyone to see.

Thanks so much to all my friends, family...and brides, all of whom I feel like they're all family too, who have been following our story along this hectic past 12 months. It's been a roller coaster ride and I couldn't be more proud of these two beautiful girls in my life, Lily and my wife, Marcie (pictured below).

I know my family, especially my mum, dad, my bro and sis-in-law in the UK will love these pics...we'll be back soon for another pub visit :-)

Julie & Dave's Engagement Session

Julie & Dave both met in England while Julie was a student there. Dave's English and they're tying the knot here this October, then heading back to the UK to live.
These pics were captured tonight at the wonderful Vineyards. Thanks to Bill-the fantastic owner for allowing us to shoot there.

We had about half an hour to shoot before the sun set and came away with some beautiful images of Julie and Dave. The light was amazing, especially since earlier in the day it was somewhat overcast.

Both Dave and Julie head back to England Tuesday. Both make a terrific couple and I can't wait to capture their day.

Sinath & Patrick's Engagement Session

Sinath and Patrick flew in from New York last weekend and are getting married this Saturday. A crazy week for them I'm sure as they get ready to tie the knot at Patrick's mothers house here in San Antonio.

Sinath is a nurse and Patrick and is a very gifted jazz musician who's traveled the world playing and recording new material.

I'm really looking forward to capturing their day in these very intimate home surroundings.

Gina and Jason tie the knot next Saturday (March 15th) and I'm very excited for them.

Gina is absolutely stunning so my job was made so much easier. We captured her bridal portrait yesterday at the McNay Art Museum. It was a beautiful day (unlike today) and we had the session wrapped up within the hour. Gina's an ex model so she was very easy to work with and it's gonna be a tough call as to which 16x20 she'll choose for her reception.

Mary & Ford Wed March 1, 2008

This lovely couple finally tied the knot. The wedding was last Saturday at the Coptic Orthodox Church on Borgfield road just north of San Antonio.

Mary and Ford were so much fun and it was wonderful seeing them tie the knot. I feel like I've known both of them for years. Brilliant!

They're now honeymooning in Tahiti (I think). Beach, margaritas. sun, sea in no particular order.

Our 2nd Anniversary

OK. It's our turn today.

We're two today. We married Febraury 26, 2006 and we can't believe it's already two years. Marcie and I have known each other since May 2002 when we met on a cruiseship (yes, I know what you're think...singalong to 'The LoveBoat'-Ask your mom's if you're not sure what that is :-)

So, we're out celebrating. Expect two sore heads tomorrow morning and congrats to all couples who got engaged today.

Amber & David's Engagement Session

Amber & David are getting married at the Southwest Arts & Craft center on May 17.
So, last Saturday morning we chilled out taking some 'couple' photos at the McNay.

I have to get this 'on record'...since we're in the political season. Amber's mom was FANTASTIC. Well, she did end up helping me with the reflector for 45 minutes. At one point, I was tempted to give her the camera and take pictures:-) A fun session, and I finally met David, both of them now in Houston who he through some, shall we say, creative pain. Just don't ask him about his knees.

Great couple. It's going to be a beautiful wedding.
